I know, I can feel it in my veins as I speak about my dreams, ideas, ambitions, and visions of the future and what I’m willing and capable of doing that I am so different from other people. I know I was put on earth to make an impact and help the insecure, scared, fragile people aware that they are magnificently beautiful! With all my heart, I try very hard to put myself out there and find ways to influence as many people as I possibly can. I strive to get my word out everyday whether it’s to a friend or the entire country. My name is Brooke Torres and I am a 20 years old with the drive of a hundred confident woman. Whenever I receive a compliment from somebody, I don’t just say thank you and than go about my day. I give a compliment or two right back at them so now both of us have a little lift of confidence and a smile on! Nothing feels better than knowing you are the reason for somebody else’s happiness and confidence.

Recently, I am finishing up recording for MTV’s True Life: I’m too Beautiful. My first big opportunity to reach out to the preteen and teen age group. My story is about how much I am determined to succeed and prove that I am not just a pretty face and that anyone can do anything they truly desire no matter what. It shows my hardships of trying to become successful and how many ups and downs there are but having an optimistic attitude about the world makes a huge difference. I know this will influence so many girls into going to college and making there dreams come true by hope and determination. I really tried telling young ladies how important it is to have other same sex friends and build healthy relationships and not having a man determine how our future is going to be. Most of this essay explains my True Life episode but unlike this, my message to young woman and anyone who needs a confidence boost will be able to hear me out by Seventeen Magazine.

I hate being judged by the way I look. Just because I am pretty doesn’t mean I am a dip or uneducated. There are times where I feel a nervous and a little insecure. There is a lot that meets the eye. I want people to know that they don’t need to get by with there looks because looks will only take you so far. You never know what could happen today or tomorrow because our reality has freak accidents that nobody would expect to occur. Looks can go away in a blink of an eye.  You need to be grateful with who you are and how you look. The happier you are and the more you do for others, really shows on the outside. As you start to love the world and are pretty in the inside, no matter how you look on the outside, you are beautiful. Everyone has the ability to be anything. I believe we should live like there’s no tomorrow but plan like you’ll life forever.

Woman need to realize they are worth so much and a college degree behind your back is never a bad thing. It’s always great to have a degree to fall back on in case, god forbid, your dreams don’t become reality. After high school I didn’t go straight to college because I was afraid to take out a loan and be in debt. After a year of being out of school, I decided together that I was going to beauty school no matter how much it was. It took a lot of talks, thinking over, and time for me to change my mind. I found a school nearby for 18,000 and a week before school started I found out I couldn’t afford it even with taking out all the loans. I was devastated andy felt I hit a rock bottom. Soon after, I received a settlement from a bad car accident I was in a year ago and decided to start community college with the money I received instead of wasting precious time. I also worked hard for my bartending and Vet Assistant certificates sense I started college.

Money is definitely slowing me down a little bit career wise but I see the light at the end of the tunnel and I know I can get there! People are always asking me how I did this and how I got on that or how I won that and I tell them its my personality! I talk to people, I say hi to strangers, I smile and am nice. I go out in the world and look for ways to show my personality and spread my ideas and dreams. Who needs money when you have a voice that can speak to everyone?

I have the motivation and drive to get others to change there lives around and become the person they always wanted to be! Smart, determined, and independent should be the definition of everybody especially us woman who need to prove how smart we naturally are! We are natural born leaders! Imagine what we can do if we just put our mind to it and do it. I don’t want it to seem like I’m better than everyone else, but that I am just like everyone else that actually follows their dreams instead of just dreaming and if everyone thought that way, where would the world be now? The passion I have burns hot and not only can I feel it but every person I talk to about it can feel it too. The love I have for woman’s feelings and worth means so much to me and I couldn’t imagine being passionate about anything else as much as I am about this. I know for a fact I was born to be somebody for everybody.
